Michelle Tompson, is an Early Childhood Education Specialist with over 25 years experience in educational leadership, adjunct instructor, teacher education, curriculum development and instructional coaching. In her role, as a lead coach, at Bank Street College of Education, Michelle supported and supervised Instructional Coaches in their work with pre-k teachers and administrators, throughout New York City. This work has had a measurable impact on the quality of pre-k instruction for 4,500 educators and 27,000 children. Michelle Tompson is very passionate about the challenges and disparities in early childhood education and it has been her life’s work to advocate for high quality education for young children and their families. She believes that all children can learn and deserve educators that are passionate, highly skilled and lifelong learners. ​
